Yes, absolutely. If you are undergoing medical treatment or for other reasons prefer soft headwear, Region Norrbotten allows the requisition to be used instead for specially adapted medical scarves or turbans from us.
If I travel to Stockholm, can I book a fitting at your salon?
You're very welcome. If you're planning a trip south, you'll find us in Stockholm by Odenplan and in Uppsala. Always book in advance so we can offer you a private room and our full attention throughout your visit.
Does Region Norrbotten also pay for my accessories and care products?
No, the region's medical support is strictly intended for the wig, hair replacement or scarf itself and the professional fitting. Consumables for daily maintenance at home – such as wig stands, special shampoo, conditioner, brushes or attachment tape – are always paid for by you.
Which healthcare professionals in Norrbotten can issue the document?
The document is issued after an individual medical assessment. It is your responsible specialist (for example in dermatology for alopecia, or oncology during cancer treatment) who is authorised to prescribe the support. A regular health centre usually cannot issue it.
How are payment and invoicing handled between you and the region?
We handle all the paperwork for you so you don't have to pay upfront. Once we have registered your valid requisition details, we send the invoice for the approved amount directly to Region Norrbotten, and you simply receive your new hair.
