Can I use regular shampoo on a synthetic wig?

No, it makes the fibre dull and static. Use Shampoo – Synthetic Hair and Conditioner – Synthetic Hair, which are made for the fibre.

How do I refresh my wig between washes?

Mist lightly with a nourishing spray and brush gently from the ends upwards. Never pull on the lace.

Do I need glue for my lace wig?

No, all our wigs are glueless. If you want extra hold, there's water-soluble lace glue, FAIR Melting Lace gluegel and FAIR Melting Lace spray, which dissolves with water.

Wig care for wigs and hairpieces
A wig or hairpiece gets no moisture from the scalp, so it needs care suited to the material. The right wig care keeps the hair soft, glossy and natural for longer – and helps your wig keep its lovely finish between washes.

Wig care for human hair
A human hair wig is cared for like your own hair, only more gently. Choose a moisturising shampoo and conditioner, and finish with a few drops of KIS Argan Oil PowerSerum on the ends for shine and softness. KIS KeraSpray nourishes the hair and makes it easier to detangle. Always use heat protection before styling and keep tools away from the lace.

Wig care for synthetic
Synthetic fibre needs its own products, as regular shampoo makes the fibre dull and static. Shampoo – Synthetic Hair, Conditioner – Synthetic Hair, Nourishing Spray – Synthetic Hair and Enhancer Spray – Synthetic Hair, which moisturises, detangles and adds shine, are available here and gathered under Hair Care for Synthetic Hair.

How to wash a wig
Wash a human hair wig once a week to every other week as needed, and a synthetic wig every other week. Detangle the hair dry, mix shampoo into a bowl of lukewarm water and lower the wig in. Swirl gently, rinse, apply conditioner to the lengths and carefully squeeze out the water. Let the wig air-dry on a wig stand and only brush it once it's dry.

Styling
Human hair wigs can be blow-dried, straightened and curled with heat protection. Synthetic wigs tolerate heat up to 120 °C – always start on the lowest setting. With a Spray Bottle, you can lightly mist the hair as you shape the style.

Lace glue for a secure fit
All our wigs are glueless, but if you want extra hold, there's water-soluble lace glue such as FAIR Melting Lace gluegel and FAIR Melting Lace spray. They give a discreet, secure fit and dissolve with water.
