How much is the wig allowance in Region Jönköpings län?
In Region Jönköpings län the maximum allowance is SEK 8 000 including VAT per year. This amount applies to temporary hair loss as well as permanent hair loss and gender dysphoria.
Can I use my requisition from Jönköpings län in your online shop?

Is gender dysphoria covered by the wig allowance in Jönköping?
Yes, unlike some other regions, Region Jönköpings län's guidelines clearly state that hair replacement and wigs can be prescribed for significant hair loss caused by gender dysphoria (up to SEK 8 000 incl. VAT).
Can I use my allowance for cosmetic eyebrow tattooing?

Do I need to book if I want to visit your Stockholm salon?
Yes, always book in advance. Our salons are in Stockholm by Odenplan and in Uppsala. That way we can offer you a private, calm setting dedicated entirely to you.
Are special shampoo, conditioner or a wig head included in the allowance?
No, under the region's rules, consumables and other care of the hair replacement (such as special shampoo, conditioner, tape or a wig head) are paid for by you. The allowance only covers the hair replacement or wig itself.
How long is my prescription valid in Region Jönköpings län?
It depends on your medical need. For temporary hair loss (e.g. during chemotherapy) the prescription is valid for 1 year. For permanent hair loss or gender dysphoria it can be valid for up to 5 years before a new medical assessment is required.
Can I choose a human hair wig with my requisition?
Yes, you are completely free to choose the solution that feels best for you, whether it's a high-quality synthetic wig or a natural human hair wig. If the price of a human hair wig exceeds SEK 8 000, you simply pay the difference yourself.
