Keratin Extensions

Keratin strands, also called nail hair, are attached one by one with a small keratin bond melted around a section of your own hair. The bonds are so small that you can wear a high ponytail without any of them showing.

Available in Luxury, which is Remy hair, in straight, wavy, curly and Deep Wave texture, and in Classic in straight. Book a fitting in Stockholm or Uppsala.

How do keratin extensions work?

Each strand has a keratin bond at the top. It is softened with a heat tool and shaped around a thin section of your own hair. Keratin is the same protein hair is made of.

What is nail hair?

3–4 months. They are not moved up like tape and microrings – the bond is removed with remover and the strand is reset from scratch with fresh keratin.

Another name for the same thing. Nail hair refers to the keratin bond being shaped like a small nail before it is fitted.

How many strands do I need?

Strands are sold in packs of 20. 20–40 give highlights or fill-in, 40–80 thickness, 100–140 length and 160–200 an extra full result. Longer hair needs the upper end of each range.

How long do keratin strands last?

Can I wear a high ponytail?

Yes. The bonds are the smallest of all our methods and sit individually, so the hair moves freely in every direction without anything showing.

What is the difference from tape and hair wefts?

Tape and wefts sit in rows, keratin sits in individual bonds placed wherever you want them. That gives more styling freedom, but the fitting takes longer.

Why should I separate the bonds?

So they do not mat together at the root. Do it with your fingers every day, particularly in the first weeks – otherwise both resetting and removal become more difficult.

What must never touch the bonds?

Oil, silicone and conditioner can make the keratin bond slip. Apply conditioner and masks to the lengths and ends, never at the root.

Does keratin suit me if I train a lot?

Yes, the bonds handle sweat and washing well. Rinse the hair after training and do not let it dry matted together at the root.

Kan jag sätta i det själv?

No, keratin requires a heat tool and experience. We carry out fitting, resetting and removal in Stockholm and Uppsala.

Keratin extensions – small bonds and full styling freedom
Keratin strands, also called nail hair, have a small keratin bond at the top. The bond is softened with a heating tool and shaped around a thin section of your own hair. We carry keratin strands in two qualities: Luxury in Remy hair and Classic, which is human hair but not Remy.

1. What? – Individual strands with a keratin bond.
2. Who? – Most hair types, including fine hair.
3. How long? – 3–4 months, then they are redone.
4. Pros/cons? – Discreet and free to style, but a longer application.

Redoing
Keratin is not moved up. The bond is removed with remover and the strand is reapplied with new keratin. The hair can be reused if it is in good condition.

Care
Separate the bonds with your fingers every day, especially in the first weeks. Keep oil, silicone and conditioner away from the bonds, and braid your hair loosely at night.
