How much is the wig allowance in Region Jämtland Härjedalen?
In Region Jämtland Härjedalen the allowance for adults is at most SEK 5 500 excluding VAT per year and patient. For children the region covers the full cost, with no upper limit. The amount on your own requisition (rekvisition) always applies.

If you find a wig, for example in human hair, that exceeds Region Jämtland Härjedalen's maximum amount, that's no problem. You simply pay the difference yourself, directly at the online checkout or when you visit our salon.
Does the wig allowance in Jämtland Härjedalen apply per calendar year or per 12 months?

No, under Region Jämtland Härjedalen's guidelines the allowance only covers the wig, hair replacement or scarf itself and the professional fitting. Accessories and consumables for daily care at home (such as special shampoo, conditioner, wig stands or tape) are not included and you pay for them yourself.
Who can issue a wig requisition in Region Jämtland Härjedalen?
The requisition is issued after a medical assessment by an authorised prescriber within healthcare in the region. It is usually your treating specialist (for example in oncology or dermatology at Östersund hospital) who issues the document to you.
Can I choose a human hair wig with my requisition?
Yes, you are completely free to choose the hair solution that best suits your lifestyle. Your requisition can be used for both high-quality synthetic wigs and human hair wigs, as long as you cover any difference yourself if the price exceeds the allowance cap.
