How do I choose the right size of hair clip?

M (9 cm) for finer or shorter hair, L (10.5–11 cm) for medium-thick to thick hair and XL (13 cm) for very thick and long hair or hair extensions. Between two sizes, choose the larger one.

Which hair clip is best for thick hair?

L or XL. If you have very thick and long hair, choose XL at 13 cm.

Why does my hair clip slip out?

Usually the clip is too small, so the teeth only grab part of the hair. Try one size up or twist the hair more tightly.

Can I use a hair clip with hair extensions?

Yes. Choose XL and place the clip above the bonds, so tape, keratin and weft do not show.

Can I put up the hair on a wig with a hair clip?

Yes. Hair Clip Wig in L is made for it. Twist the hair loosely and place the clip in the middle of the back of your head, where the cap sits most securely.

Which colors match my hair?

Black and dark brown are matched to 1 Jet Black and 2 Dark Brown in our color chart. Transparent blends into all hair colors.

Is a hair clip gentler than a hair tie?

A clip in the right size does not pull on a single point the way a tight ponytail does, and many find it gentler – especially with lots of hair.

Can I sleep with a hair clip in?

No, take the clip out before you go to sleep. A soft hair tie or a loose braid is gentler overnight.

Which hair clip is best for a party?

Hair Clip Rosett in XL, where the clip becomes part of the hairstyle.

How long does delivery take?

Hair clips for lots of hair
We work with hair every day in our salons in Stockholm and Uppsala, and we know that a regular hair clip often is not enough for thick hair, hair extensions or wigs. That is why we sell our clips by amount of hair – not just by looks. Here you will find large hair clips in M, L and XL, a clip made for wigs and a festive clip for celebrations.

Choose your size by amount of hair
M (9 cm) suits a full updo in finer or shorter hair and a half-up in thick hair. L (10.5–11 cm) suits medium-thick to thick, mid-length hair. XL (13 cm) suits very thick and long hair, and if you wear hair extensions. Between two sizes? Choose the larger one if you are putting up all your hair.

Why does the clip slip?
A clip holds when the teeth grip around the whole updo from both sides. If it is too small, it only grabs part of the hair, and the weight of the rest pulls it down. Usually the size is wrong, not the spring.

Our clips
Hair Clip Vardag is our everyday clip and comes in M, L and XL. Hair Clip Stilren has a clean shape and comes in L and XL. Hair Clip Rosett is the festive clip in XL. Hair Clip Wig in L is made for putting up the hair at the back of a wig without pulling the cap backward.

Colors that match the hair
Black and dark brown are matched to our color chart, 1 Jet Black and 2 Dark Brown, so the clip blends into the hair. If you want the clip to show, choose a lighter color such as beige, khaki or coffee. Transparent blends into all hair colors.

With hair extensions, choose XL and place the clip above the bonds, so tape, keratin and weft do not show. On a wig, twist the hair loosely and place the clip in the middle of the back of your head, where the cap sits most securely.
