What is Deep Wave?
Deep Wave is a texture with deep, S-shaped waves that close into curls – a little like wet beach curls, but dry and controlled. Compared with curly extensions, the curls are deeper, tighter and more defined, while curly has larger and looser curls. Deep Wave therefore gives more volume and drama and suits you if you want a clear texture.

Deep Wave, Kinky or Yaki?
Deep Wave has deep, soft S-curls. Kinky is a tighter, springier Afro texture with small curls. If you have natural Afro hair and want the extensions to blend in, choose Kinky, and if you want defined curls with a softer bend, choose Deep Wave. If you blow-dry or relax your Afro hair, Yaki is a better fit, because the straight texture has body and a more matte shine. Who are Deep Wave extensions for?
Deep Wave extensions suit you if you have curly or coily hair of your own and want a matching texture in a longer or fuller version. They also suit you if you want a dramatic, festive look with lots of volume without curling your hair every day. If your hair is completely straight and you want the extensions to blend in, the result is usually better with straight or wavy extensions. Qualities and colours
We offer human hair extensions in Classic, Premium and Luxury quality, where Luxury is our best quality and Premium and Luxury are Remy hair. Quality, length and colour vary between the Deep Wave products, so check each product page for current availability. All human hair extensions can shed a little, especially at first, but with the right brush, the right products and good care you minimise both shedding and tangles.

Methods for Deep Wave extensions
Deep Wave extensions work with tape, keratin, micro rings, micro weft and sew-in. We recommend a method based on the thickness and length of your own hair and how long you want to wear the extensions. Keratin works well on curly and coily hair – you choose strands in a matching texture, and for very tightly curled hair we do a consultation first to make sure the bond sits as it should. Moving up and durability
Tape is moved up every 8–10 weeks, micro rings, micro weft and sew-in every 2–3 months, and keratin stays in for 3–4 months before reinstallation. How long the hair itself lasts depends on quality, method and care. With the right care – sulphate-free shampoo, moisture, scrunching and a satin pillowcase – the curls keep their definition. Use curl cream or leave-in to activate the curl pattern after every wash, and the curls will look just as defined day after day.

Caring for Deep Wave extensions
Deep Wave curls keep their definition through moisture and the right products, not heat. Wash with sulphate-free shampoo and always follow up with a moisturising conditioner or hair mask. Detangle wet hair with a wide-tooth comb and conditioner in, never with a brush on dry hair. Activate the curls with curl cream or leave-in while the hair is wet and scrunch them. Let the hair air-dry or use a hairdryer with a diffuser and heat protection, sleep on satin or silk if you can and oil the lengths regularly. If you want to straighten the hair, you can do so with heat protection and a flat iron – the curls come back when you wash it, but do it sparingly so the hair is not worn unnecessarily.
