It can be hard to know which method, colour and amount suits your hair. That is why you can send us a photo of your hair. Upload one or more photos in the form above and we will help you choose – and reply by email. The advice is free and makes it easier to order hair extensions, a hair piece or a wig that looks natural. The form is right here on this page, and you can send your photos whenever it suits you.

How photo advice works
Fill in the form, upload your photos and send them to us. We look at the photos and assess colour, texture and amount. Based on that, we recommend the method, colour and amount that suit your hair and the result you want. You will receive our reply by email. You can also email the photos directly to info@fairwithhair.se if you prefer.

How to take good photos
Good photos make it easier for us to give you an accurate recommendation. Take the photos in daylight, ideally near a window, as indoor lighting can give a misleading impression of the colour. Send us three photos if you can: one from the front, one from behind and one close-up of your ends. Let your hair hang loose so we can see all of it from root to tip. Avoid filters and strong colour effects on your camera so the colour looks as natural as possible.

The right colour – our most common question
Colour is usually what decides whether extensions blend in. We always match to your ends and lengths, not your roots, because roots are often darker and the ends are where the transition shows. If you have highlights, balayage or several shades in your hair, a mixed colour or two shades can look more natural. The extensions do not need to be exactly the same colour as your hair, but they should blend with the overall look. Read more in our guide Which colour should I choose?

Method and amount
Which method suits you depends on your own hair and what you want to achieve. In the photos we can see how much hair you have, how long it is and what texture it has. That helps us suggest a method and an amount that give you the length and volume you want without looking heavy or unnatural. Compare for yourself with the colour chart and samples
If you want to compare colours on your own, use our colour chart, where all colours are sorted from darkest to lightest. Screens show colours differently, though, so the most reliable option is a colour sample – a small strand of real Luxury hair that you hold against your own hair in daylight. A colour sample costs 25 SEK, if you buy three you pay for two, and the samples are sent with free shipping within Sweden.

Rather meet in the salon?
If you would like to show us your hair in person, book a free consultation. You will find us in Stockholm at Norrtullsgatan 26A, two minutes from Odenplan, and in Uppsala at Skolgatan 49. The consultation can also be done online. We go through colour, length, amount and method together, and you get answers to your questions straight away.

Photo advice works whether you are considering hair extensions, a hair piece or a wig. Tell us what you would like to achieve – for example more length, more volume or filling out thinner areas – and whether you already have a method or product in mind. The more we know about your wishes, the better we can help you.

After the advice
Once you have our recommendation, you can order directly in our online shop or book an appointment in the salon. Hair extensions are a hygiene product and can only be returned unused and in their original packaging, so it is especially worthwhile getting help with colour and amount before you order. If you are still unsure after our reply, you are always welcome to get in touch again.
