Frequently asked questions about the hair care packages
Which package should I choose?
Start with what your hair needs most. The Silver Kit removes yellow tones in blonde and grey hair, the Colour Protection Kit protects the colour in coloured hair, the Repair Kit rebuilds damaged hair and the Moisture Kit moisturises dry hair. The Curl Kit is for curly hair and the Shine Kit for dull hair. If you have a synthetic wig or synthetic hair extensions, choose the Synthetic Kit.
Are the packages suitable for hair extensions?
Yes, all packages except the Synthetic Kit are suitable for human hair extensions. Apply the conditioner from the mid-lengths down and avoid rubbing at the attachments, so tape, keratin and microrings hold better.
Can I use the packages on my human hair wig?
Yes. We recommend washing a human hair wig once a week to every other week, as needed. Be gentle around the wig base and the lace when you wash and apply the conditioner.
What is the difference between the packages with and without treatment?
The packages with treatment include a hair mask in addition to shampoo and conditioner: KIS KeraMax Treatment in the Repair Kit and KIS KeraMoist Treatment in the Moisture Kit. The mask gives a deeper treatment when your hair needs more than everyday care.
Can I use the KIS packages on synthetic hair?
No, the KIS packages are made for human hair. For synthetic wigs and synthetic hair extensions we have the Synthetic Kit, which is adapted for synthetic fibre.
Why do hair extensions and wigs need extra care at the ends?
Hair extensions and wigs get no natural sebum from the scalp, so the lengths dry out faster than your own hair. A drop of KIS Argan Oil PowerSerum or KIS Glamshine Serum on the ends after washing keeps the hair soft and glossy.
How do I use KIS KeraSpray?
Spray it on as the last step when your hairstyle is finished. Hold the bottle a little away from your hair and spread evenly, so the style gets hold and a silky shine.
When can I wash my hair after installation or treatment?
After a tape-in installation, wait 48 hours before washing your hair or sweating heavily. After a keratin treatment, wait 72 hours (3 days) before the first wash.
