Is Nikita a good first wig?
Yes, it is our best-selling wig and the most common first wig with us. It needs no styling, stays on without glue and holds its shape on its own.
Can I use a flat iron on it?
Yes, the fiber is heat-resistant up to 120 °C and takes low to medium heat. Always start low and test on a small section at the nape first. If the fiber overheats it melts, and that damage cannot be repaired.
Does a synthetic wig look as natural as human hair?
Almost. The difference shows mostly in how the hair catches the light – synthetic has a more even shine. Up close and in bright sunlight you can tell, in everyday life rarely. Lace front plus makes the hairline look real either way.
Do I need to restyle it after washing?
No, and that is the biggest advantage over human hair. The fiber regains its shape as it dries. Let it air dry on a wig stand and the style falls back into place.
Can I dye it?
No. Synthetic fiber does not take hair dye – the color sits on the surface and does not adhere. If you want to be able to dye it, you need a human hair wig. Choose from our seven shades instead.
Do I need glue or tape?
No. Nikita is glueless and stays on by itself with adjustment at the nape. You put it on and take it off yourself.
How do I wash it?
Lukewarm water and shampoo made for synthetic hair. Dip and rinse in the direction of the hair, never rub. Pat the water out with a towel and let it air dry on a wig stand. Hot water can ruin the fiber.
How often should it be washed?
Every other week – much less often than your own hair. The wig does not get greasy because it does not sit against a scalp that produces sebum.
How long does Nikita last?
1–3 months, depending on how much you wear it. Long synthetic hair wears most at the nape, where it rubs against clothing. Many people have several vegan wigs and alternate between them.
