Frequently asked questions about mesh hair extensions
What are mesh hair extensions?
Mesh is a gentle method where a soft mesh is fitted to your head and attached to your own hair. A hairpiece is attached on top, either a lace closure or a hair topper, and wefts are sewn in at the back for volume, length and fullness – without glue, tape or heat.
Is mesh suitable for alopecia or hair loss?
Yes – mesh is one of the gentlest methods if you have alopecia, thin patches or medical hair loss. The mesh spreads the weight evenly and doesn't strain sensitive hair roots.
How long do mesh hair extensions last?
With the right care, mesh lasts 8–10 weeks. After that you book an adjustment where we check the mesh and the hair wefts so the result continues to look natural.
Can I buy mesh with a requisition?
Yes, we are an approved supplier for most Swedish regions. Contact us with your requisition (rekvisition) number and we'll help you further.
How do I care for my mesh hair extensions at home?
Wash with sulphate-free shampoo, brush gently from top to bottom and avoid sleeping with wet hair. Cover your hair with a silk scarf at night to reduce friction and extend longevity.
Can I heat-style mesh hair extensions?
Yes, human hair can be styled with a hairdryer and straightener. Always use heat protection and keep the heat at the lowest effective setting to protect the extensions and your own hair.
How does mesh differ from other hair extension methods?
Unlike tape, keratin and glue-based methods, mesh is attached entirely without chemicals or heat. That makes the method unique if you have a sensitive scalp, fine hair or medical hair loss.
How does a Mesh installation work?
We start by fitting the mesh to the shape of your head and attaching it discreetly to your own hair. Then we attach the hairpiece on top, a lace closure or a hair topper, and sew in wefts at the back row by row until the result is even and natural. The whole treatment takes about 2–4 hours.
Can I swim and exercise with mesh hair extensions?
Yes, you can live just as normal. Avoid rubbing your hair hard with a towel, and let it air-dry or use a hairdryer on low heat after exercising and swimming.
How do I book a consultation for mesh hair extensions?
You can book easily through our website or contact us directly. In the consultation we look at your hair, discuss your wishes and make a plan – completely free of charge and with no obligation.

Mesh hair extensions – a safe solution for sensitive hair and hair loss
Mesh hair extensions are one of the gentlest methods if you want more volume and length without putting strain on your own hair. A thin, soft mesh is fitted to your head and attached to your own hair. On top, a hairpiece is attached – you choose either a lace closure or a hair topper – and wefts are sewn in at the back. Because we use no glue, tape or heat, your scalp can breathe and your own hair can rest throughout the entire wear period.
Lace closure or hair topper?
A lace closure gives a natural parting and a discreet result on top of the head. A hair topper covers a larger area and suits you if you need more coverage where your hair is thin. During the consultation we help you choose what suits your hair best.
Who is Mesh for?
The method is especially suitable for hair loss, alopecia, thin areas, hormonal changes or when your hair is in a sensitive phase. The mesh distributes the weight evenly, so no individual strands are put under strain. Mesh also suits you if you have a sensitive scalp that does not tolerate glue or tape.
How the installation works
We always start with a free consultation where we assess your hair and match colour, texture and amount of hair. During the installation we fit the mesh to the shape of your head and attach it discreetly to your own hair. We then attach the hairpiece on top and sew in the wefts at the back, row by row, until the result is even and natural. The whole treatment takes about 2–4 hours.
How long does Mesh last?
With the right care, Mesh lasts 8–10 weeks. After that you book an adjustment, where we check the mesh, the hairpiece and the wefts so that the result continues to look natural.
How to care for Mesh at home
Wash with a sulphate-free shampoo and brush gently from top to bottom. Avoid sleeping with wet hair, and ideally cover your hair with a silk scarf at night. You can exercise and swim as usual – don't rub your hair with a towel, and let it air-dry or blow-dry on a low heat. Human hair tolerates straighteners and hairdryers, but always use heat protection.
