Hair extension remover and removal
Your own hair is most often damaged during removal – not while the extensions are in. With the right remover the bonds release gently, so you can remove extensions at home without pulling, tugging or breaking your own hair. Here you will find remover, glue and tape for hair extensions – the same products we use in our salons.

How to remove tape-in extensions
Apply remover along the tape and wait until it softens. Then gently separate the pieces. Never remove the tape dry – your own hair will come out with it. Oil can loosen the tape in an emergency, but it leaves residue that makes new tape hold less well. Comb out any remaining residue with a little remover.

How to remove keratin extensions
Apply remover to the keratin bond and let it work. Gently crush the bond with removal pliers and slide the strand down without pulling. Comb out any residue. Keratin strands stay in for 3–4 months and are then rebonded with new wax bonds.

Microrings and butterfly weft
Microring extensions and butterfly weft are attached with microrings and need no remover. The rings are opened with microring pliers when the weft is taken out or moved up.

Sew-in extensions and latex glue
We prefer to remove sew-in extensions in the salon, so the thread is cut without damaging your own hair. Latex glue is dissolved with the latex glue remover, which removes the glue without pulling on the hair.

Choose the right remover
The remover for tape and keratin dissolves both bond types and comes in two versions. C-22 Solvent is the strongest and also removes stubborn glue and tape residue. Keep remover at home from the very first installation – the small bottle lasts a couple of move-ups and the large one about six months.

Reinstall at move-up
The hair is reused. Tape-in extensions get new refill tape every 8–10 weeks, and keratin strands get new wax bonds when rebonded. Make sure the pieces are completely clean and dry before they get a new bond.
