A hole in the lace does not mean that the wig is beyond repair. Small tears, cracks in the front edge, and loose seams can be repaired, and it costs a fraction of a new wig.
What we repair
We hand-sew tears and holes in the lace using thread suited to the mesh thickness, and when necessary, we knot new hair into the repaired area so that the repair is invisible. We sew loose wefts back into place. Seams that have come undone in the cap are resewn.
How it works
Start by sending pictures of the damage - from the front, back, and inside. We assess the work and get back to you with a fixed quote before we begin. The price here is a starting price for a simple repair; larger repairs are priced after assessment.
Once you have approved the quote, send the wig to us or leave it at the salon. Allow seven to ten business days from the time we receive it.
When it is not worthwhile
We will tell you if we do not think the wig is worth repairing. If the cap is worn throughout or the lace is fragile across the entire front edge, a repair will only be temporary, and replacing the lace or getting a new cap is a better choice. We would rather recommend the right solution than the most expensive one.
Good to know
Regional wig allowances do not cover repairs, so you pay for this service yourself regardless of whether you have a requisition.
