What gives away a wig is rarely the hair. It’s the hairline. New lace has dark knots where each strand is attached, and the hair sits in a straight, dense line unlike any real hairline. This service fixes both issues.
What we do
Knots bleaching. We bleach the knots in the lace so they blend into your skin tone instead of showing as small dark dots. The bleaching is done carefully and only as much as necessary.
Hairline plucking. We thin out the front line by hand, strand by strand, creating the slightly uneven, softer edge that real hairlines have. We can also pluck a natural parting if you wish.
Why it shouldn’t be done at home
Bleaching is irreversible. The bleach is applied directly to the knot that holds the hair in place, and if it is too strong or left on for too long, the knots become brittle and the hair starts to come loose. If too much is plucked, it cannot be put back. This is the most common way to ruin an expensive wig.
How to order
Add the service to your cart when you purchase your wig or hairpiece from us, and we will do the work before shipping it. If you already have a wig at home, you can send it to us - get in touch and we will provide instructions. Allow three to five business days from when we receive it.
Afterwards
Bleached knots make the front edge more delicate. Never pull directly on the lace when applying or removing it, use a gentle solvent if you glue it, and wash it with products intended for human hair.
