The hair lasts longer than the cap. When a human hair wig starts to feel unstable, rub, or slip, it is often not the hair that has reached the end of its life - it is the base. In that case, we sew the hair onto a new cap instead of having you buy a completely new wig.
When this service is suitable
The cap has become stretched and the wig no longer sits securely. The elastic has worn out and new bands do not help. The seams are coming apart in several places. Your head measurements do not fit any standard cap, whether larger or smaller.
What we do
We remove the hair from the old cap, attach it to a new cap in the size and construction you need, and reattach the lace, bands, and combs. You can choose whether we should build the cap according to your exact head measurements, which we recommend if you have worn wigs for a long time and know what causes discomfort.
If you also need new lace at the front, we combine it with Lace Renewal and do everything in one service - it costs less than two separate appointments.
How it works
Send us photos of the inside of the wig so we can assess whether the hair is in good enough condition to be moved. If the hair is brittle or severely dehydrated, we will tell you honestly, because then the work is not worth the cost.
We need your head measurements before we begin. Allow two to three weeks from the time we receive the wig.
Afterwards
The wig regains its original fit and sits like new. Store it on a wig stand between uses to help the cap retain its shape.
