Sleep Caps and Shower Caps
Sleep caps and shower caps that protect your hair overnight and in the shower. Here you'll find satin, mulberry silk and styles made for children.
Why wear a sleep cap?
A cotton pillowcase draws out moisture and creates friction against the hair. A sleep cap in satin or silk lets hair glide over the fabric instead of breaking, which makes a real difference for curly and dry hair, for extensions, and if you wear a wig. With hair loss it also keeps you warm when your head gets cold at night.
Satin or mulberry silk?
Satin gives you a smooth surface at a lower price and can go in the machine. Mulberry silk is cooler, softer on sensitive skin and lasts longer, but needs hand washing. Both do the same job; the difference is in the feel and the longevity.
Sleep caps for children
Children with curly or coily hair easily wake up with tangles and broken strands. Our children's styles are sewn in soft satin and shaped for smaller heads, and the reversible one has two sides in different colours.
Shower cap
A waterproof shower cap that keeps your hair, extensions or wig dry in the shower, so you don't have to wash more often than you need to.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use a sleep cap with a wig or extensions?
Yes, that's one of the most common uses. The smooth surface reduces friction, so both the attachments and the hair itself last longer.
Will it stay on all night?
The adjustable style has an elastic you tighten yourself, so it stays put even if you move a lot in your sleep.
Does it help with hair loss?
Yes. Many people use one for the warmth and because the fabric feels soft against a sensitive scalp. See also our turbans and head coverings.
How do I wash it?
Satin washes at 30°C. Mulberry silk should be hand washed in lukewarm water and dried flat.
