Hair loss caused by alopecia, chemotherapy or other medical conditions is rarely something you've had time to prepare for. Our role is to make the wig itself the easiest part.
Come in before your hair loss starts
If you know treatment is on the way, it's a real advantage to visit us while you still have your own hair. That way we can match the colour, length and movement to how you actually look – and the transition becomes almost unnoticeable to the people around you.
What makes a medical wig different
- Soft interior: designed for a sensitive scalp without hair of its own.
- Lightweight construction: less heat and weight on the head.
- Adjustable fit: can be taken in as the circumference of your head changes during treatment.
- Lace front: a hairline that looks natural even up close.
A calm, unhurried fitting
We see you privately and without any rush. You set the pace, you're welcome to bring someone along, and you don't need to decide on the same day. We'll also show you how to put on, wash and store your wig at home.
Wig funding
In many cases, Swedish regions provide funding for a wig when hair loss is medical. The rules and amounts differ between regions and change over time – check what applies to you with your healthcare provider or Region Uppsala, and we'll help you with the paperwork.
