Butterfly weft is one of the methods we most often recommend at our salon at Skolgatan 49 in Uppsala. It is a hand-tied weft where the short strands are folded inward instead of upward, creating an unusually thin edge with no return hair. The weft lies flat against the head and adds no height at the attachment.
How the application works
We begin by assessing the starting point of your hair, choosing the length and matching the color. We then clamp microrings onto your own hair to form a concealed row close to the scalp, and attach the butterfly weft to the rings through its pre-punched holes. Nothing is sewn, there is no glue, heat or chemicals. Finally, we blend the extensions into your hair so that the transition is invisible and go through the care instructions with you. Who is the method suitable for?
Butterfly weft suits most hair types, but it is particularly well suited if you have fine or thin hair and have previously found that attachments were noticeable or visible. It is also a good choice if you often wear your hair up, because the thin edge does not reveal itself in a high ponytail.
Longevity and move-up

We use our Luxury butterfly weft made from 100% genuine remy hair, 50 grams per package. It is available in straight, wavy and curly textures, and in a wide range of colors including solid colors, ombré, piano and balayage. You can buy the hair from us or bring your own.
