Micro weft is narrow hair weft attached with micro rings in several thin rows instead of a few wide ones. More, smaller rows give a flatter and more natural-moving result.
- What? – Narrow wefts attached with micro rings in several thin rows.
- Who? – Normal to thick hair, wants a flat result.
- How long? – Lasts for months, move-up every two to three months.
- Pros/cons? – Pros: flat, flexible, easy to wear up. Cons: longer installation time.
The advantage of many narrow rows
The hair moves more naturally and no section feels heavy. The downside is time: the same amount of hair takes longer to install than with wide wefts.
How to prepare
Come with freshly washed hair with no products in it, ideally dried. Don't use conditioner or oil, and come a day after washing rather than straight after a hair mask. If you're planning to colour your own hair, do it before the installation so we can match the hair to your finished colour.
The treatment includes colour matching, preparation, installation and cutting. Expect to be with us for a few hours, and feel free to book your move-up before you leave.
Frequently asked questions
Will micro weft show if I wear my hair up?
Not if the rows are placed correctly. Tell us at the consultation how you usually wear your hair, and we'll position the rows so they sit under your own covering layer.
Will I feel micro weft when I sleep?
Most people don't notice anything after the first few nights. Braid your hair loosely before bed – it reduces both tangles and pressure.
How many rows do I need?
It depends on how much hair you want and what your own hair is like. We assess this at the consultation and would rather add rows than overload a few.
