Your own hair grows by approximately one centimeter per month. As it does, the attachments move downward, and the weight sits farther from the head - which increases the pulling on the scalp.
When do you need to come in?
- Tape: every 6–8 weeks
- Keratin: every 3–5 months
- Sew-in: every 8–10 weeks
Signs that it is time
- You can feel the attachments when you start brushing
- The hair tangles around the attachments despite daily brushing
- It pulls or feels tight when you put your hair up
- Individual strands have come loose
Why you should not wait
An attachment that remains in place for too long begins to collect loose hairs around it. This creates tangles close to the scalp that must be detangled and, in the worst case, cut away. The time you saved by postponing your appointment will cost you dearly.
What happens during the move-up?
We remove the strands, clean both the hair and the attachments, detangle any knots and put the hair back at the correct height. If the hair is of good quality, the same material can be reused many times.
