When you wear a lot of extensions, the transition at the forehead needs to look natural. That is where closure and frontal come in - two lace-based solutions that create a hairline that looks as though it is growing from the scalp.
Lace closure
A smaller piece of Lace, often approximately 10 x 12 cm, placed where the parting should be. The hair is hand-tied into the Lace so that each strand looks as though it is growing from the scalp. You get a fixed parting, but cannot move it freely.
Lace frontal
Extends from temple to temple, along the entire hairline. You can place the parting wherever you like, pull the hair back from your face and put it up without any attachment being visible.
Which should you choose?
- Closure: you wear the same parting most days and want a simpler, more affordable solution.
- Frontal: you want to vary your hairstyle freely and wear your hair slicked back or up.
How to make your Lace last longer
Gently clean the edge to remove adhesive residue, never pull the Lace off when it is dry and use a soft brush around the attachment. When properly cared for, the Lace retains its transparency for much longer.
Closure and frontal are most often combined with sew-in.
