Sew-in is one of the most stable methods we work with. But it doesn't suit everyone, and it's better to know that before you book than afterwards.
Here's what speaks for the method, and what speaks against it.
You want a result that stays put
The hair is sewn onto your own braids and stays there – through training, travel, long working days and an active everyday life. You don't have to think about anything coming loose during the day.
You want to avoid glue and heat
Sew-in requires no glue, tape or heat at the attachment. The weight is spread evenly along the braids instead of sitting on individual strands, which is why we often recommend it for fragile hair.
Your hair type works – most do
Straight, wavy, curly and coily hair all work, as do fine, normal and thick hair. The braids are laid out to suit your scalp and the way your hair falls, and the amount of hair is adapted to what your own hair can carry.
You want to style freely
You can curl, straighten, blow-dry and wear your hair up or half up. Use heat protection, just as you would on your own hair.
When sew-in isn't the right method
This matters just as much:
- You want to be able to take the hair off yourself whenever you like – then clip-ons are a better choice.
- You don't want braids as a base, for comfort reasons or because you often wear your hair up high.
- Your own hair is too short to braid securely.
- Your scalp is tender right now. Then we'd rather wait a few weeks.

The short answer
Sew-in suits you if you want a stable, natural result, a gentle method, long wear and volume with a soft fall – and don't need to be able to remove the hair yourself.
