FAQs

What is a hair weft?

A long row of hair sewn into a thin top edge. It is attached to your own hair in rows, which is why it builds a lot of volume in a short time.

What is the difference between Classic, Premium and Luxury?

The same Remy human hair in rising order. The difference lies in how uniform the hair is, which shows in how thick the lengths feel and how long the hair stays soft.

What does double drawn mean?

That the shortest strands have been sorted out, so the weft is equally thick all the way down to the ends. It shows most on longer hair, where an ordinary weft otherwise tapers.

What is invisible weft?

A weft with a thin, almost invisible top edge that blends into the scalp instead of feeling like a ridge. It lies flat even in fine hair and is attached to microrings.

How is the weft attached to my hair?

Either it is sewn onto a braid with a needle and thread, or it is attached to a row of microrings. Both methods are free of glue, tape and heat.

Hair Wefts in Human Hair – How Weft Works
A hair weft is a long row of hair sewn into a thin top edge. All the hair in this category is 100% Remy human hair, which means the cuticles all run in the same direction. That is why the hair tangles less, keeps its shine longer, and can be colored darker and heat styled exactly like your own.

Our qualities
Classic, Premium and Luxury are the same human hair in rising order, and the difference lies in how uniform the hair is. Double drawn means the shortest strands have been sorted out, so the weft is equally thick all the way down to the ends – most visible on longer hair. Invisible weft has a thin, almost invisible top edge that blends into the scalp and lies flat even in fine hair.

How the weft is attached
Sewing onto a braid is the classic method. The stylist braids a base in your own hair and sews the weft onto the braid with a needle and thread, with no glue, tape or heat at all. Microrings are the alternative: the weft is attached to a row of small rings instead of a braid, which gives a flatter base. Butterfly weft has pre-drilled holes that the rings are threaded through and is never sewn.

How long does it stay in?
A weft sewn onto a braid needs moving up every six to eight weeks. Wefts on microrings are moved up every two to three months. The same hair is reused at each move-up, so the hair itself lasts considerably longer than any single attachment.

Textures and color
We carry wefts in straight, wavy, curly and Deep Wave textures as well as Yaki. All textures share the same color chart, so you can mix shades freely – a darker root against lighter lengths, for example. Curly and Deep Wave hair draws up and looks shorter than the measurement suggests, so count on one step longer than you would have chosen in straight hair.

Cut your own clip-ins
A full weft can be cut into widths that suit your head and have clips sewn along the edge. That gives you a clip-in set with considerably more hair than a ready-made one, shaped to your own head. If you cut a machine-sewn weft, the edge has to be sealed, otherwise the hair starts coming loose from the seam. We are happy to show you how.

Care
Brush from the ends upward with a brush made for extensions. Wash with a mild, sulfate-free shampoo and apply conditioner and masks to the lengths and ends, never at the attachments. Use heat protection when styling and braid the hair loosely at night.
