The right amount of hair is what decides whether the result looks natural. Too little gives thin ends; too much puts strain on the attachments.
The amount is counted in rows of hair weft.
Why the amount matters so much
A well-matched amount gives even fullness all the way down, a natural fall and less strain on the micro rings. It's as much about comfort as it is about looks.
Thin hair
One to two rows is usually enough. It adds fullness without your hair feeling heavy and keeps the attachments gentle on hair that's already fine.
Normal hair
Two to three rows give a full, soft result that works both day to day and for special occasions. It's the most common amount at our salons.
Thick hair
Three to four rows are usually needed for the amount to match your own volume. With too little hair, the transition between your own hair and the extensions shows.
Length makes a difference
Shorter lengths need less hair. The longer the hair, the more you need so the ends don't look thin.
Texture matters too
- Straight hair needs more to feel full
- Wavy hair has natural volume and needs less
- Curly and Deep Wave give lots of fullness and need the least

How to know the amount is right
- The hair falls softly and evenly
- The ends are full
- The rows sit securely without pulling
- The blend feels natural when you move
We work it out together
The number of rows is a starting point, not a rule. Your scalp, your length and the look you want are what decide. Book a free consultation with us in Stockholm or Uppsala, and we'll go through amount, colour and length before you order.
