Sew-in is one of the most stable methods we work with – the hair is sewn onto your own braids, without heat, glue or tape. But what really sets it apart from keratin bonds, tape and clip-ons?

1. The method puts minimal strain on the hair
Unlike methods that use heat or glue, sew-in is a gentle alternative:
- No heat and no chemicals at the attachment
- No concentrated weight on individual strands
- The weight is spread evenly along the braids
That's the biggest advantage if you want to protect your own hair.
2. It works on both fine and thick hair
- Fine hair gets gentle volume without individual bonds pulling
- Normal hair gets a soft fall and fullness
- Thick hair gets stability and durability
If your hair is very fine we go through the amount carefully at the consultation – the braids need your own hair to carry them.
3. It lasts
- Redone roughly every two to three months
- The hair can be reused several times
- Wear on your own hair is kept down
That makes it a sensible choice both for quality and for cost over time.
4. The transition looks natural
Sew-in gives one of the softest transitions between your own hair and the extensions: no stiff edges, natural movement and fullness that blends into your own hair.
5. It stays put in everyday life
The hair sits securely at the gym, dancing, running and travelling. You can shower, sleep and style without thinking about anything coming loose.
6. No bonds that let go
Because the hair is sewn onto the braids, you avoid what can happen with other methods: glue coming loose, tape slipping and keratin softening in heat.
7. Especially good for curly and coily hair
The texture is easy to match, the shape holds and the result follows your own hair's movement. That's why sew-in is one of the most used methods for textured hair with us.
When sew-in isn't the right choice
We'll say this too: if your own hair is very short it can't be braided securely, and if your scalp is tender the braids can feel too tight for the first few days. Then weft or micro rings are often better.
