Wigs for Hair Loss – How It Works
Losing your hair is often the most visible part of the whole treatment. We have met many people in that situation since 2009, and our experience is that it gets easier if you have time to prepare before the hair starts to fall. If you come to us while you still have your own hair, we can match color, length and shape to how you look today, which makes the step feel smaller.

Prescriptions in all 21 Swedish regions
For hair loss caused by chemotherapy, alopecia or another illness, you are entitled to a grant from your region. The prescription comes from your care provider, usually via your contact nurse or treating physician. We are an approved supplier in all 21 regions and invoice the region directly, so you never have to pay up front. Amounts and rules differ between regions and change over time – get in touch and we will find out what applies to you.

Which part of the range applies?
Our medical range consists of Luxury in human hair and our entire vegan synthetic line. We do not recommend Classic or Premium during illness. The difference lies in the cap and in how the hair is attached – the medical models are built to sit softly against a scalp that may be sensitive or entirely without hair.

The constructions that work best
Mono top has hand-tied hair across the whole top and looks like it grows straight from the skin. It is the construction most people choose for hair loss. Mono part gives the same effect at the part. Lace front plus gives a natural hairline at the front. Classic Cap has a finished hairstyle where the bangs hide the hairline and nothing needs styling at all, which many appreciate during periods when energy is low.

Comfort Cap
Comfort Cap is our newest cap, with no clips or combs at all. The wig sits with adjustable drawstrings and a thin edge instead. It is made for a sensitive scalp and for anyone who finds that clips rub – particularly relevant when the scalp is bare.

Human hair or vegan?
Vegan is easy to live with. The fiber takes back its shape on its own after washing, so there is nothing to restyle, and it costs less. Human hair can be cut, heat styled and colored darker, and lasts several years. Many people choose a vegan wig for everyday and a human hair wig for special occasions, or alternate two wigs – which makes both last longer.

Care and comfort
Every wig we sell is glueless and stays in place without glue and without tape against the skin. A wig needs washing far less often than your own hair, roughly every fifteenth to twentieth wear. At home and at night many people choose a soft turban or sleep cap instead of a wig, to let the scalp rest.

We take our time
The consultation is free and takes place by appointment in Stockholm or Uppsala, or as a video call if traveling feels like too much. We cut the lace to your hairline, adjust the size and shape the style in our Wig Atelier – including on wigs you were given or bought elsewhere. If you would like to bring someone with you, they are of course welcome.
