Thin hair is not the same as hair loss, and it requires a different solution. If you still have hair across your entire head but feel that it is thin and sparse, a full wig is almost always more than you need. A hairpiece covers only the area that needs coverage and is attached with clips to your own hair. It adds volume without requiring you to conceal everything, and you can take it off whenever you want. The prerequisite is that you have enough of your own hair to attach it to - which is why you should not wait too long. If your own hair becomes so sparse that the clips cannot hold, or if your hairline has receded significantly, a men's wig is both easier and more attractive. You also avoid having to match the colour to hair that changes over time. This is the most common mistake with thin hair: choosing a product with a lot of hair to compensate. The result is a noticeable contrast with your own hair, which makes it obvious. Choose a hair volume close to your own, or slightly more - never double. Clips attached in exactly the same place every day put strain on the hair strands. Move the attachment points a few centimetres at regular intervals and remove the hairpiece at night. Use gentle products from wig and hairpiece care. It is difficult to assess your own hair volume.
