Coming in with a prescription – how the visit works

The rules around wig prescriptions differ between the Swedish regions, and that isn't something you need to work out yourself. We're an approved supplier in all 21 regions and deal with your region for you.

This isn't about the rules but about the visit itself – what actually happens when you come in.

Bring with you

  • The prescription (rekvisition) from your region, on paper or digitally.
  • ID.
  • A photo of your own hair as it used to look, if you have one.

If you've lost the prescription or aren't sure whether it's still valid, come anyway. We'll help you sort it out.

On the day

The visit is the same as any other fitting: we talk first, measure next, and you try on several models without being rushed. Having a prescription doesn't affect how much time you get or which wigs we bring out.

We tell you early what your prescription covers and what might fall outside it, so you know before you fall for a particular model. Nobody should discover an unplanned cost at the till.

The cut is part of the thinking

A wig has to be cut to your face to look like your hair. We do that in the same visit, or at a follow-up appointment if you'd rather wear it for a few days first.

Afterwards

We handle the paperwork with your region. You don't need to be out of pocket for the part the prescription covers, and you don't need to submit anything yourself.

If you're in the middle of treatment

Many people come in before the hair starts to fall. That's often better: colour and volume are easier to match, and you avoid making the decision at the hardest point.

Bring someone with you if you'd like. Coming alone works just as well – we only take booked appointments, so there's no other customer in the room.
