Requisition in Västra Götaland

How much is the wig allowance in Västra Götalandsregionen?
In Västra Götalandsregionen the allowance for a wig, toupee or other hair replacement is up to SEK 7 000 excluding VAT per 12-month period. The amount includes fitting and any repairs. For eyelashes and eyebrows there is a separate requisition (rekvisition) of up to SEK 1 400 excluding VAT per 12-month period, which can also be used for medical tattooing of eyeliner or eyebrows. The requisition is valid for one or five years, and with a five-year requisition the maximum amount can be combined over the years.
Can I use my Västra Götaland requisition in your online shop, given that you're in Stockholm?
Yes, that's fine. We don't have a salon in Västra Götaland, but we have a very smooth and secure system for you if you live there. You can use your requisition (rekvisition) to order wigs or hair replacements directly online in our webshop, without having to travel to us.
How does shopping online with my VGR requisition work in practice?
It's very simple. Take your time choosing your wig in our online shop. Before completing the purchase at checkout, contact our customer service by phone or email. We help you register your requisition details digitally so that your regional allowance is deducted directly from your order.
What happens if the wig or hair replacement costs more than my allowance?
If you find a wig, for example in human hair, that exceeds Västra Götalandsregionen's maximum amount, that's no problem. You simply pay the excess difference yourself, directly at the online checkout or when visiting one of our salons.
Does the wig allowance in Västra Götaland apply per calendar year or per 12 months?
In Västra Götalandsregionen the allowance is calculated per 12-month period. Check the last valid date on your requisition before ordering so the allowance doesn't expire.
Can I use my VGR allowance for medical scarves or turbans?
Västra Götalandsregionen's rules mention wigs, toupees, other hair replacement, eyelashes and eyebrows, but not turbans or scarves. Get in touch before you order and we'll help you find out exactly what your requisition covers.
Do I need to book if I want to travel and visit your Stockholm salon?
Yes, always book in advance. If you're passing through, you'll find us in Stockholm by Odenplan and in Uppsala. Since you're travelling some distance, we want to be able to guarantee a private, calm room dedicated entirely to you and your fitting.
Are care products, tape and wig stands included in the requisition?
No, under Västra Götalandsregionen's guidelines the allowance only covers the wig, hair replacement or scarf itself and the professional fitting. Accessories and consumables for daily care at home (such as special shampoo, conditioner, wig stands or tape) are not included and are paid for by you.
Who can issue a wig requisition in Västra Götalandsregionen?
The requisition is issued after a medical assessment by authorised, licensed healthcare staff in VGR. It is usually your treating specialist or a section head at, for example, the oncology clinic or dermatology department who issues the document to you.
Can I choose a human hair wig with my requisition?
Yes, you are completely free to choose the hair solution that best suits your lifestyle. Your requisition can be used for both high-quality synthetic wigs and human hair wigs, as long as you pay any difference yourself if the price exceeds the allowance cap.
