Wavy Nail Hair is attached to your natural hair by melting small keratin bonds with a dedicated heat tool. The result is a secure, permanent extension that blends seamlessly with your own hair.
The hair is made from 100% real human hair and the bonds consist of keratin, a protein already present in your natural strands. That choice of material ensures a gentle attachment and a genuine look.
You can curl, straighten and blow-dry the real hair as usual to vary your hairstyle. Take care to keep hot styling tools away from the keratin bonds so they do not melt.
Yes, the method can be adapted by having your hairdresser split the keratin bonds in half for an even finer attachment. That makes it an excellent option for fine hair too, as long as your scalp is healthy.
A full extension normally takes 100 to 140 strands depending on the thickness of your natural hair, and 160 to 200 strands with thicker hair, a short cut or a length of 60 to 70 cm. If you only want to add volume, 40 to 80 strands is usually enough, and 20 to 40 for a few accent strands. The strands are sold in packs of 20 and one strand weighs one gram.
Match the shade of the hair to the colour of your own ends and lengths for the most natural transition. Mixing two similar shades can also give a very lively, multidimensional impression.
Because the hair is of real quality it can be toned darker, but we do not recommend bleaching or lightening. Note that all chemical treatment is at your own risk and can reduce the lifespan of the hair.
With correct application and regular care the hair stays in for about three to four months before it is time to remove it or re-bond it. The structure and quality of the hair are best preserved if you follow our specific moisture and washing routines.
The difference from our regular straight Nail Hair is the built-in wavy structure, which gives an immediate fall without extra styling. Compared with Tape Hair this method gives smaller bonds, which makes tight ponytails easier to wear.
Before bed, brush through the hair gently to avoid tangles near the scalp. Then gather it into one or two soft braids to protect the bonds and preserve the natural waves overnight.
