Requisition in Dalarna

How much is the wig allowance in Region Dalarna?
It depends on the cause of the hair loss. For significant or total hair loss, for example alopecia, the allowance is up to SEK 8 000 including VAT per 12-month period. For temporary hair loss during chemotherapy or radiotherapy, it is up to SEK 4 000 including VAT per six-month period and can be granted twice within 12 months. The amount on your own requisition (rekvisition) always applies.
Can I use my requisition from Dalarna in your online shop even though you are in Stockholm?
Yes. We don't have a salon in Dalarna, but you can order your wig in our online shop and have it delivered to your home. Send us your requisition by post or email – whichever suits you.
How does shopping online with my requisition from Dalarna work in practice?
You choose your wig in the online shop and order it. Feel free to call us on +46 76-415 90 00 before ordering so we can go through what your requisition covers. Then send us the requisition, either by post to Fairwithhair Josiander AB, Box 6077, 102 32 Stockholm, Sweden, or by email to info@fairwithhair.se. We invoice Region Dalarna and send the wig to your home. If the wig costs more than the allowance, you pay the difference yourself.
What happens if the wig or hair replacement costs more than my allowance?
If you find a wig, for example in human hair, that exceeds Region Dalarna's maximum amount, that's no problem. You simply pay the difference yourself, directly at the online checkout or when you visit our salon.
Does the wig allowance in Dalarna apply per calendar year or per 12 months?
In Region Dalarna the allowance is calculated per 12-month period from the date the requisition is issued and used, unlike regions that use calendar years. Remember to check the expiry date on your document before you order.
Can I use my allowance from Dalarna for medical scarves or turbans?
Region Dalarna's allowance covers fitting as well as wigs, toupees, hair extensions and cosmetic tattooing of eyebrows and eyeliner. Turbans and scarves are not included under the region's guidelines. Get in touch and we will help you find the right solution.
Do I need to book if I want to travel and visit your Stockholm salon?
Yes, always book in advance. From Dalarna our Uppsala salon is usually the closest, and we are also in Stockholm by Odenplan. Since you are travelling some distance, we want to guarantee you a private, quiet room and our full attention throughout your visit.
Are care products, tape and wig stands included in the requisition?
No, under Region Dalarna's guidelines the allowance only covers the wig, hair replacement or scarf itself and the professional fitting. Accessories and consumables for daily care at home (such as special shampoo, conditioner, wig stands or tape) are not included and are paid for by the patient.
Who can issue a wig requisition in Region Dalarna?
The requisition is issued after a medical assessment by an authorised prescriber within healthcare in Dalarna. It is usually your treating specialist (for example in oncology or dermatology) who issues the document to you.
Can I choose a human hair wig with my requisition?
Yes, you are completely free to choose the hair solution that best suits your lifestyle. Your requisition can be used for both high-quality synthetic wigs and human hair wigs, as long as you cover any difference yourself if the price exceeds the allowance cap.
