Lace Frontal from ear to ear

A lace frontal is the hair piece that gives the most natural hairline in a weave. It covers the whole front hairline from ear to ear and makes the hair look like it grows naturally along the entire front. That means you can comb your hair back, change the parting freely and put your hair up in a ponytail or updo without the hairline giving the weave away. What does lace mean?
Lace is a thin mesh material that the hair is knotted into, strand by strand. The lace blends with the scalp, so it looks as though the hair grows straight from the head. HD lace is an extra-thin, transparent variant that blends with more skin tones, making the hairline almost invisible. Our frontal is hand-knotted on fine, transparent HD lace.

Size 13x4 inches
The numbers give the width and depth in inches. Our lace frontal measures 13x4 inches, about 32.5 x 10 cm. That is enough to cover the whole hairline from ear to ear and gives a good area for the parting along the front.

Colours, lengths and textures
Our Luxury HD Lace Frontal comes in colours 1B, 2 and 4, in straight and wavy textures and in 35 and 45 cm lengths. Choose the same texture and colour as the wefts in your weave, so the frontal blends with the rest of your hair. You will find matching hair weft in the same quality.

Lace frontal or lace closure?
A lace closure only covers the top and the parting and is easier to install. A frontal covers the whole front and gives more styling freedom. Choose a closure if you usually wear your hair down with a parting, and a frontal if you want to put your hair up or comb it back. Lace frontal or lace front?
The names are similar but mean different things. A lace frontal is a hair piece installed with a weave. A lace front is a wig with lace at the front. If you are looking for a wig, you will find every model on our wig models page and among our lace frontal wigs.

How a frontal is installed
Your own hair is braided into cornrows close to the head. The frontal is then placed along the hairline on top of the cornrows and secured before the wefts are sewn in behind it. A frontal can be sewn in, glued or taped – every salon does it differently. We sew it in, because it lasts better. Installing a frontal takes more precision than a closure, because the hairline has to sit right all the way from ear to ear. A weave with a frontal is redone about every three months, and the frontal can often be reused if it is in good condition.

Styling with a lace frontal
With a frontal you can wear a high ponytail, create updos and buns, go half up half down or switch between a middle and side parting. Because it is 100% real hair, it handles straighteners, curling tongs and hairdryers. Always use heat protection. The hair can also be coloured and toned – let a stylist do it for the best result.

Care
Wash with sulphate-free shampoo and conditioner in lukewarm water, and massage along the hair instead of rubbing the lace. Pat dry and let it air-dry. Brush with a wide-tooth comb, starting from the ends. Avoid oil and heavy products on the lace. If you wear the frontal in a weave, clean the scalp between the cornrows with diluted shampoo and let the hair dry completely.

Who is a lace frontal for?
A frontal suits you if you want maximum styling freedom and like to put your hair up, comb it back or change your style often. It also suits you if you want to protect your own hair completely, because all of your hair is braided in under the weave. If you would prefer a simpler option with less care, a lace closure may be a better choice, and if you would rather have a wig than a weave, you will find models with lace at the front among our wigs.
