Frequently asked questions about Butterfly Weft
Butterfly Weft is a thin hair weft attached to a row of micro rings in your hair through its pre-punched holes – nothing is sewn. This gives an invisible, flat result that lets the curls fall freely from the scalp without tight attachments.
We use only 100% human hair in Luxury quality to make sure the curls stay beautiful for a long time. This exclusive hair tangles considerably less and blends in completely unnoticed with your own naturally curly hair.
Yes, but do it rarely. Human hair can take a straightener with heat protection, but repeated high heat makes the curl pattern relax permanently. Stick to low or medium heat and let the hair rest in between.
Yes, the feather-light, incredibly thin attachment is developed to be extra gentle on thin or fine hair. The low weight at the attachment point prevents unnecessary wear, so you can safely add curly volume.
For subtle thickening of your existing curls, a smaller amount of hair over a few rows is usually enough. For a beautiful extension up to 50–70 cm, you need more hair and more rows to preserve the curls' natural fall.
Find your perfect shade by comparing your own hair colour with our deep base colours such as black and dark brown. Because curly hair catches the light softly, the transition between your own hair and the hair extensions looks very natural and discreet.
Our human hair can usually be toned or shaded darker with gentle colour treatments. We do, however, recommend avoiding bleach altogether, as it can chemically impair the bounce and structure of the curls.
Curly hair dries out fastest of all textures. Wash with a moisturising shampoo, use a hair mask every wash and only detangle when the hair is damp, with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb.
Our Butterfly Weft has a noticeably flatter, softer top edge than a traditional machine-sewn weft. This is especially beneficial for curly hair, as it reduces volume at the scalp and gives a more genuine end result.
Braid your hair loosely in one or two braids, or wear a satin bonnet. Never sleep with wet hair – the curls tangle easily at the attachments.
