Hair care for synthetic hairFrequently asked questions
How does the product/method work?
Jones has a mono top and lace front. The hair is hand-tied on top so it looks as if it's growing from the scalp, and the lace gives a natural hairline. The wig is glueless and stays in place on its own, with adjustment at the nape.
Material – what is it and why does it matter?
It's made of advanced, heat-resistant synthetic fibres that keep their beautiful structure whatever the humidity. This guarantees an extremely low-maintenance hairstyle that always looks freshly styled and well kept.
Heat styling – what can it handle?
The fibres can be reshaped with a straightener or curling iron, provided the heat doesn't exceed 120 degrees. It is, however, absolutely essential that you always apply a suitable heat protectant before you start styling.
Is it suitable for fine/sensitive hair?
Yes, the sewn-in cap is designed with soft materials that let your skin breathe freely all day. It distributes pressure evenly, making it very gentle even on a sensitive or bare scalp.
Length and volume – how do you choose?
Jones offers a harmonious, classic length that frames the face very flatteringly. The built-in volume is carefully balanced to give a healthy, full impression without feeling heavy.
Choosing a colour – how do you match it?
This style comes in several true-to-life shades that blend in beautifully. Use the shade of your own eyebrows as a starting point to create the most discreet, natural transition.
Can it be coloured?
No, synthetic materials unfortunately can't be treated with chemical hair dyes or salon bleach. Instead, the shade is permanently fixed and keeps its deep lustre unchanged wash after wash.
Care & lifespan – how long does it last?
With the right wig care products and gentle handling, the wig keeps its high quality for a long time. Only wash it when absolutely necessary to spare the fine synthetic fibres unnecessary wear.
How does it differ from similar products in the range?
Jones has a mono top and lace front, giving more realism both on top of the head and along the hairline than our wigs with a Classic Cap.
Storage & sleeping – what should I know?
Always place the wig on a wig head when you're not wearing it to keep the cap's correct fit. You should never sleep in the wig, as friction against the pillow quickly and permanently ruins the hair's structure.
