Yes, but it is best to take it off for high-intensity training or swimming to keep the hair in the best condition.
How do I wash my Halo Hairband?

Can I colour my Halo Hairband?

Halo Hairband – real hair or synthetic hair?

A Halo Hairband is one of the easiest ways to get longer, fuller hair without attaching anything permanently to your own hair. The hair piece rests on a thin, transparent wire that you place over your head, and your own hair then covers the wire. You need no glue, tape, keratin or clips, and you put your Halo Hairband on and take it off yourself in just a few minutes. At Fairwithhair you will find Halo Hairbands in both real hair and vegan synthetic fibre, so you can choose by style, needs and budget.

How a Halo Hairband works
The wire is placed over your head, about ten centimetres from your hairline, so the hair piece lies against the back of your head and neck. You then pull your own hair over the wire with a tail comb so that it is completely hidden. Finally, you gently brush your hair together with the extension and style as usual. Because nothing is attached to your hair, the method is gentle and suits you if you want to avoid wear from clips, tape or glue. It suits both first-timers and those who already have experience with hair extensions, and it is so comfortable that you will barely feel you are wearing it.

Halo Hairband in real hair
Our Luxury Halo Hairband is made of 100% real hair with a natural feel and shine. Real hair can be heat styled with a straightener, curling iron and hairdryer, and it can be coloured and toned. It comes in straight, wavy and curly textures, in 50 and 60 cm lengths and in many shades – from cool blonde tones such as P18/60 Scandi Blonde and P18A/60 Ice Blonde Mix to deep brown tones such as 2 Dark Brown. With good care, a real hair Halo Hairband lasts 12–24 months, and it is the obvious choice if you want to wear it often and style it freely.

Vegan Halo in synthetic fibre
If you are looking for an affordable option, our Vegan Halo is made of heat-resistant vegan synthetic fibre. It adds volume and length in seconds and comes with clips for extra hold or without clips for the gentlest fit. Synthetic hair looks natural but cannot be coloured and only tolerates low heat. It normally lasts 3–6 months with proper care, which makes the Vegan Halo a great choice for parties, travel or trying out a new look without spending a lot.

Real hair or synthetic – which should you choose?
If you wear your Halo Hairband every day and want to straighten, curl or colour it, real hair is the right choice because it gives a natural result that lasts. For special occasions both work, but real hair gives you the most freedom when styling. If you want to keep costs down, synthetic hair is an affordable option with a great result. Compare the differences in the table above or book a free consultation in Stockholm, in Uppsala or online, and we will help you choose.

Finding the right colour
A Halo Hairband looks most natural when the colour blends with your ends and lengths, not your roots. Browse our colour chart to see every shade, or send us a photo of your hair taken in daylight and we will recommend the right colour. If you have highlights or balayage, a mixed shade often gives the most natural result.

Care and storage
Wash your Halo Hairband gently in lukewarm water with mild, moisturising, sulphate-free products, and avoid rubbing the hair. Let it air dry. Brush the hair regularly with a soft brush, ideally a boar bristle brush, and let it lie flat when you are not wearing it. Store it dry and detangled, ideally in a bag or box, to avoid tangles. Take your Halo Hairband off before you sleep, and preferably during intense exercise or swimming, to keep the hair in the best condition. The right hair care for extensions extends its lifespan.

Halo Hairband compared with other methods
Compared with tape, micro ring or sew-in extensions, which are fitted by a stylist and stay in for a longer period, a Halo Hairband is a temporary solution that you control entirely yourself. Another temporary option is clip-in hair extensions, where small clips attach to your own hair. Read more about all hair extension methods or use our hair guide to find the right one.
