Reparera skadat och slitet hår – steg för steg

You can recognise damaged hair because it's brittle, has split ends, loses its bounce or looks lifeless no matter how you style it. Common causes are repeated heat styling, chemical treatments (colouring, bleaching, perms) and mechanical wear from brushing or harsh friction.

Moisture or protein – what does your hair need?

The two are easy to mix up, but they solve different problems:

  • Protein rebuilds the inner structure of the hair and makes it stronger. You need it when your hair feels weak or breaks easily.
  • Moisture makes the hair soft and supple again. You need it when your hair feels dry and rough but doesn't necessarily break.

Most people with damaged hair need a combination – but too much protein without moisture can make hair stiff and brittle, and vice versa.

A routine to repair your hair

  1. Cut down on heat styling as much as possible during the repair period.
  2. Use a repairing shampoo and conditioner every time you wash – not just as a one-off treatment.
  3. Be extra gentle with wet hair, because that's when it's most vulnerable to breakage.
  4. Be patient – visible improvement usually takes several weeks of consistent care, not a single wash.

Our Repair Kit (repair package) is designed to strengthen and rebuild damaged and worn hair, wash after wash.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if my hair needs protein or moisture?
If your hair breaks easily and feels weak – protein. If it feels dry and rough but holds together – moisture. Often it needs both.
How long before I see results?
Expect several weeks of consistent use before the improvement is clearly visible – it's not a one-off treatment.
Can I keep heat styling while I repair my hair?
You can, but cut back as much as possible during this period for the best results.
Does the Repair Kit work on coloured and bleached hair?
Yes, the products are designed for damaged and worn hair, whether the damage comes from colouring, bleaching or mechanical wear.
Is hair extra fragile right after washing?
Yes, wet hair is at its most vulnerable – avoid harsh brushing and pulling right after washing.
