Frequently asked questions
The shampoo adds violet pigments that act as the opposite colour to yellow, instantly neutralising unwanted warm tones. At the same time, it gently cleanses the hair without opening the cuticle more than necessary.
The product is a well-balanced blend of mild cleansing agents and strong violet pigments. This is key to giving bleached wigs and toupees a cool tone without drying out the hair.
Clean, colour-corrected hair is a fantastic, fresh base for blow-drying. To protect the cool shade from being burnt out, though, we always recommend a good heat protectant before using hot tools.
Yes, the shampoo's formula is fluid and very lightweight, so it cleanses without weighing down finer hair. Just remember that thin, porous strands absorb the violet pigments much faster, so keep a close eye on the processing time.
A coin-sized amount is usually enough to wash shorter hair or a smaller toupee. If you have long, thick hair extensions, you'll need more product so all the hair is covered evenly for a streak-free result.
This shampoo is made exclusively for blonde, light grey or highlighted hair that needs to tone down noticeable yellow and warm tones. It isn't recommended for dark or brown hair, as the cool violet pigments won't make a visible difference there.
We recommend washing out any type of silver shampoo with a deep-cleansing shampoo before bleaching or chemically colouring the hair. This makes sure no temporary pigments remain to interfere with your hairdresser's treatment.
A bottle goes a long way and lasts well if you use it as needed to correct the colour once or twice a week. Regularly washing and maintaining the shade like this keeps all your blonde hair extensions fresh for longer.
Unlike a regular colour-protecting shampoo, No Yellow adds active violet pigments that change and cool the tone. Of our many products, it's by far the best and quickest choice when your light hair has turned too yellow.
Rinse the shampoo out completely and make sure your hair is fully dry before going to bed. Sleeping with damp hair can lead to friction damage and bad tangles in your hair extensions or toupee.
