How are tape-in extensions installed?

Thin hairpieces are taped on either side of a thin section of your own hair, close to the scalp. The bonds lie flat and are hidden in the hair.

Is tape suitable for fine hair?

Yes. Tape is one of the gentlest methods for fine hair, because the weight is spread over a wide, flat surface.

How often does the tape need a move-up?

Every 8–10 weeks. The tape is replaced and the same hair is put back in.

How many packs do I need?

3 packs give thickening, 6 packs lengthening and 8 packs full lengthening. At the consultation, we'll see what your hair needs.

Can I reuse my tape-in hair?

Yes. Human hair in good condition is reinstalled with new tape at every move-up.

How do I prepare my hair for the visit?

Wash your hair with shampoo only and come with dry, detangled hair. Conditioner, oils and styling products weaken the bond.

How long does the installation take?

Usually two to four hours, depending on the amount of hair.

Can I work out and swim with tape-in extensions?

Yes. Wait 48 hours after installation before washing your hair or sweating a lot, so the tape has time to bond properly.

How is the tape removed?

The tape is dissolved with remover so the strands come loose without pulling on your own hair. Removal includes a wash.

Tape-in installation in Stockholm and Uppsala
Tape-in extensions are installed as thin hairpieces, with one strand taped on either side of a thin section of your own hair. The bonds lie flat against the head and are placed so they stay hidden whether you wear your hair down or up.

Choose your pack by result
Thickening with 3 packs adds fullness. Lengthening with 6 packs adds length, and full lengthening with 8 packs gives both length and volume. Packs with new hair include Luxury tape-in extensions. If you already have your own tape-in hair, you book the installation only.

Move-up every 8–10 weeks
As your hair grows, the bonds are moved up. The tape is dissolved with remover and replaced with new tape, and the same hair is put back in.

Before your visit
Come with freshly washed, dry hair that's been washed with shampoo only. Conditioner, oils and styling products weaken the bond. Installation usually takes two to four hours.

Care
Brush from the ends upwards and hold the hair at the bond. Apply conditioner to the lengths and ends only, never near the tape, and braid your hair loosely at night. Wait 48 hours after installation before washing your hair.
