If you've never had sew-in hair extensions before, it can feel reassuring to know exactly what happens. Here's the whole treatment, step by step.
1. The hair is washed and prepared
Everything starts with a clean base. We wash with a deep-cleansing shampoo, keep conditioner away from the scalp and blow-dry the hair completely. That keeps the braids stable and lets the hair weft attach properly.
2. The braids are laid close to the scalp
We make soft, thin braids in a pattern that suits your head and your hair type.
- The braids should feel secure but not tight
- The pattern and placement are adapted to your hairstyle and where you want to be able to wear your hair up
- If anything feels tight, tell us straight away – we'll redo it on the spot
The braids are the foundation of the whole method, and this is where the result is decided.
3. The hair weft is measured and cut
Each section of hair weft is measured against the shape of the braids and cut to the right lengths, so the hair is spread evenly across the head.
4. The hair weft is sewn in by hand
This is the heart of the treatment. We sew the hair weft onto the braids, completely without glue, tape or heat. That's what makes sew-in so secure.
5. The hair is cut into your style
Once everything is in place, the hair is blended in: cutting through the lengths and ends, adjusting shape and volume, and styling so the hair falls softly. This is the step that decides whether the transition shows or not.
6. You get care advice
Before you leave, we go through how to brush, how often to wash, which products suit your hair and how to protect your hair at night. We also book your move-up straight away, roughly two to three months ahead.
How long does it take?
Allow two to three hours, depending on hair length, amount of hair and hair type. You'll be sitting still for a while, so bring something to do.
