Så tar du hand om hair weft och microträns - Fairwithhair

Your care routine decides how long your hair weft and micro weft stay soft and glossy. The routines are simple, but they need to be done regularly.

Brushing

  • Always start at the bottom and work your way up
  • Hold the weft in place with your other hand
  • Use a soft brush made for hair extensions, such as our extension brush
  • Brush twice a day

This is the most important routine of all. Tangles that are left in become hard and wear on both the attachments and your own hair.

Washing

  • Use a sulphate-free shampoo
  • Massage your scalp with your fingertips, not your nails
  • Don't rub the lengths
  • Conditioner only on the lengths and ends, never at the attachments
  • Rinse thoroughly

How often?

Every five to eight days. Use a leave-in between washes and don't wet your hair unnecessarily – moisture trapped at the attachments is what does the most damage.

At night

Sleep with your hair in a loose braid, use a satin or silk pillowcase, and never go to bed with wet hair.

Styling

  • Always use heat protection
  • Low to medium heat
  • Work in small sections
  • Finish with a little hair oil on the ends

Products

Moisture is the foundation: sulphate-free shampoo, a moisturising conditioner, leave-in, hair oil on the ends and a hair mask about once a week. Our hair care bundles and KIS Haircare work on both your own hair and the hair extensions.

How can you tell the routine is working?

  • The hair feels soft
  • The shine lasts for several weeks
  • The wefts sit securely
  • No recurring tangles at the attachments

If it starts to feel stiff at the attachments even though you follow the routine, it's usually a sign that it's time for a move-up – not that you're doing anything wrong.
