Region Gävleborg provides a requisition (rekvisition) of SEK 3 000 per half-year, so at most SEK 6 000 per 12-month period for a wig or other hair replacement. What happens if the wig or hair replacement costs more than my allowance?
If you find a wig, for example in human hair, that costs more than your requisition covers, that's no problem. You simply pay the difference yourself, directly at the online checkout or when you visit the salon.
Does the wig allowance apply per calendar year or per 12 months?
It is stated on your requisition. Some regions count per calendar year, others per 12-month period from the date the requisition was issued. Check the expiry date on your document before you order, so the allowance doesn't run out.
Can I use my allowance for scarves or turbans?
It varies between regions and is not always clear from the requisition. Get in touch before you order and we will help you find out what yours covers. You'll find our turbans and headwear in the online shop.
Do I need to book if I want to travel and visit your salon?
Yes. From Gävleborg our salon in Uppsala is usually the closest, and we are also in Stockholm by Odenplan. Always book in advance. Since you are travelling some distance, we want to guarantee you a private, quiet room and our full attention throughout your visit.
Are care products, tape and wig stands included in the requisition?
The allowance normally covers the wig or hair replacement itself and the fitting. You usually pay for consumables for daily care yourself, such as shampoo, conditioner, wig stands and tape. Exactly what is included is stated on your requisition, and we are happy to go through it with you.
Who can issue a wig requisition in Region Gävleborg?
The requisition is issued after a medical assessment by an authorised prescriber within healthcare in Gävleborg. It is usually your treating specialist, for example in oncology or dermatology, who issues it to you.
Can I choose a human hair wig with my requisition?
