Keratin extensions – for a long-lasting, natural result

Keratin extensions, also known as nail hair or keratin bond strands, are a hair extension method where small strands of real human hair are attached one by one to your own hair with a keratin bond. Each strand moves freely, just like your own hair, and the bonds are so small they can't be seen. We install keratin extensions in our salons in Stockholm and Uppsala.

How the method works

We divide your hair into small sections and attach a keratin strand to each one, close to the scalp. The keratin is heated so that it shapes itself around the hair strands and hardens into a small, flat bond. Once all the strands are in place, we cut the extensions in so the transition becomes invisible.

Who is keratin suitable for?

Keratin suits most hair types, including curly hair, and is a good choice if you want to be able to wear your hair up freely. Because the amount is adjusted strand by strand, the method works both for thickening and for full lengthening.

How long does it last?

Keratin extensions last 3–4 months. After that we do a reinstallation, where we take out the strands, add new keratin bonds and put the same hair back in. You can also choose to have new hair installed at the reinstallation.

Care

Wait 48 hours before the first wash and use sulphate-free products. Brush morning and evening starting from the ends, and avoid applying heat directly to the bonds. Dry your hair completely before going to sleep.
