Even if your wig or hairpiece is made of a synthetic material, it is important to take care of it to maintain its luster and avoid damage.

To make your synthetic hair care routine easier, we have created a step-by-step guide that you can easily follow from home.

Preparation:
Comb or brush your hair gently. Combing is not suitable for curly hair. If your hair becomes tangled, you can separate it with your fingers.

How to wash your synthetic hair:


Shampooing
1. Turn your wig inside out (the fiber should be facing inward)
2. Mix your shampoo with lukewarm water
3. Leave the hair in the solution for a few minutes. Do not rub or twist the wig.
4. Flip the wig back over and rinse the hair thoroughly under lukewarm running water
5. You can repeat the procedure if the surface is heavily soiled.


Conditioner
1. Mix the conditioner with lukewarm water
2. Let the wig sit in the solution for a few minutes
NOTE! The wig should not be inside out like when shampooing.
Rinse your hair thoroughly under lukewarm running water.


Drying
Press the water out of your wig in the direction of the hair using your hands.
Squeeze out any remaining moisture in a towel.
Shake the wig lightly and let it air dry at room temperature.
You can use a wig stand to make drying easier and faster.
NOTE: Do not brush or comb your hair until it is completely dry!
