FAQs

How is butterfly weft applied?

The weft is attached to micro rings threaded through the pre-drilled holes. It is never sewn, and no glue, tape or heat is used.

How often does butterfly weft need a move-up?

Every 2–3 months. The hair is reused – only the micro rings are replaced.

How do I choose the right length and how much hair I need?

Start by deciding whether you want the most volume, the most length, or both. The amount is adjusted to your own hair and your goals, and if you are unsure, it is wise to ask for help with color and amount before making a decision.

Allt du behöver veta om Butterfly Weft Isättning & Återisättning

How butterfly weft is applied
First, a row of micro rings is placed in your own hair. Butterfly weft has pre-drilled holes, and the rings are threaded through the holes and clamped shut. The weft is never sewn – no needle, no glue, no heat and no chemicals. That is what sets it apart from a sew-in, where the weft is sewn onto a braid.

Thin edge with no return hair
The strands are folded in rather than turned upward, so the edge is thin and soft and lies flat against the head. You can wear your hair up without the attachment showing, and the method works well for thin hair too.

Move-ups and re-application
Move-ups are done every 2–3 months. At re-application only the micro rings are replaced – the hair is reused.

How much hair?
Most people need one to four rows. For added thickness, 50–100 grams is often enough; for length and fullness, 150–200 grams. We adjust the amount to what your own hair can carry.

Stockholm and Uppsala
We do application and re-application at both salons. The consultation is free.
