FAQs

Which braids do you do?

Box braids in four sizes, cornrows in two, four or six rows, baby cornrows, ponytail braids, crochet braids and braids for men. We braid children too.

How long does the braiding take?

Size decides. Small and very small box braids often take half a day or more, a few rows of cornrows considerably less. We tell you the time when we book you in.

How long do the braids last?

From a few weeks up to three months depending on size. Take them out too early rather than too late – long regrowth makes the braids pull under their own weight.

Is the braiding hair included in the price?

What is included is stated with each service. If you are unsure, ask us when we book you in, so you know what to bring.

Do you braid children?

Yes, we have separate services for children – box braids and cornrows.

Allt du behöver veta om Braids Stockholm

Braiding in Stockholm and Uppsala
We do box braids in four sizes, cornrows in two, four or six rows, baby cornrows, ponytail braids, crochet braids and men's braids. We also braid children's hair.

Size decides time and durability
The smaller the braids, the longer it takes and the longer the style lasts. Small box braids often take half a day or more, while a few rows of cornrows are much quicker. Braids last from a few weeks up to three months.

A protective style
When your own hair is braided, it avoids brushing, heat and friction and gets to rest. A braid should feel firm but never tight. Tell us right away if it pulls at the temples, and we will redo the rows.

Preparation
Come with freshly washed, dry and detangled hair washed with shampoo only. Conditioner and oil make the hair slippery.

Care
Wash your scalp with mild shampoo diluted in a nozzle bottle and rinse without rubbing. A light oil relieves itching. Sleep with a silk or satin cap and take the braids out sooner rather than later.
