How much is the wig allowance in Region Gotland?
In Region Gotland the allowance is up to SEK 7 000 excluding VAT per 12-month period and applies from 1 January 2025. The amount includes fitting and cutting in. Eyelashes and eyebrows are not included. The amount on your own requisition (rekvisition) always applies.
Can I use my requisition from Gotland in your online shop even though you are in Stockholm?
Yes, that works. We don't have a salon on Gotland, but we have a simple and secure system for those who live there. You can use your Gotland requisition to order wigs or hair replacement directly in our online shop, without having to travel to us.
How does shopping online with my requisition from Gotland work in practice?
It's very simple. Take your time choosing your wig in our online shop. Before completing the purchase at checkout, contact our customer service by phone or email. We help you register your requisition details digitally so that your regional allowance is deducted directly from your order.
What happens if the wig or hair replacement costs more than my allowance?
If you find a wig, for example in human hair, that exceeds Region Gotland's maximum amount, that's no problem. You simply pay the difference yourself, directly at the online checkout or when you visit our salon.
Does the wig allowance on Gotland apply per calendar year or per 12 months?
In Region Gotland the allowance is calculated per 12-month period from the date the requisition is issued and used, unlike regions that use calendar years. Remember to check the expiry date on your document before you order.
Can I use my allowance from Gotland for medical scarves or turbans?
The requisition on Gotland covers wigs, hairpieces and toupees as well as fitting and cutting in. Turbans and scarves are not mentioned in the region's rules, so get in touch before you order and we will help you find out what your requisition covers.
Do I need to book if I travel from Gotland to visit your Stockholm salon?
Yes, always book in advance. If you fly or take the ferry to the mainland, our salon by Odenplan in Stockholm is the closest, and we are also in Uppsala. Since you are travelling from Gotland, we want to guarantee you a private, quiet room and our full attention throughout your visit.
Are care products, tape and wig stands included in the requisition?
No, under Region Gotland's guidelines the allowance only covers the wig, hair replacement or scarf itself and the professional fitting. Accessories and consumables for daily care at home, such as special shampoo, conditioner, wig stands or tape, are not included and you pay for them yourself.
Who can issue a wig requisition in Region Gotland?
The requisition is issued after a medical assessment by an authorised prescriber within healthcare on Gotland. It is usually your treating specialist (for example in oncology or dermatology at Visby hospital) who issues the document to you.
Can I order a human hair wig with my requisition?
Yes, you are completely free to choose the hair solution that best suits your lifestyle. Your requisition can be used for both high-quality synthetic wigs and human hair wigs, as long as you cover any difference yourself if the price exceeds the allowance cap.
