Matching curly hair is more difficult than matching straight hair. It is not enough for the color to match - the curl pattern and bounce must also be close to your own hair, otherwise it will never look natural.
Find the right curl pattern
Wavy, loosely curly, tightly curly, and coily hair all behave very differently in humidity and when washed. Feel free to bring a photo of your hair freshly washed and air-dried - that is how we see your real pattern, not how it looks after styling.
Shrinkage
Curly hair shrinks. Hair extensions measuring 50 cm when stretched can look like 35 cm when curly. We always go by how long you want the hair to look, not the number on the packaging.
Method for curly hair
If you have very curly natural hair, sew-in is usually best - the attachments follow the hair's natural structure, and no glue interferes with the curl pattern.
Care
- Detangle while wet, with conditioner in, using your fingers first
- Use a diffuser instead of a regular hair dryer nozzle
- Sleep with a silk scarf to help the curls retain their shape
- Never brush dry curly hair
