Keratin nail hair consists of individual strands with a small keratin plate at the top that is melted onto your own hair. Since each strand is attached separately, the hair moves freely in all directions.
- What? - Individual strands, with a keratin attachment melted on using heat.
- Who? - Normal hair, for those who want movement and invisible attachments.
- How long? - Three to four months, then removed and reapplied.
- Pros/cons? - Pros: the most natural movement. Cons: takes the longest to apply.
When this method is the right choice
This is the method to choose when you want to wear your hair down, part it anywhere and put it up without having to think about where the rows are. The attachments are small and distributed across the head, so no area becomes too heavy.
Application takes time. We apply several hundred strands during one treatment and place them according to how your hair grows and falls. Expect a longer appointment.
Removal and care
Removal is done with a remover that dissolves the keratin without pulling on your own hair. This should not be done at home. The wrong remover or too much pulling is the most common reason customers lose hair during removal.
Care is simple but consistent: sulfate-free shampoo, no conditioner or oil near the attachments, brush with the right brush from the ends upward, and braid your hair before sleeping.
Frequently asked questions
Do keratin attachments damage my own hair?
No, provided they are applied and removed correctly and are not overloaded. We adjust the number of strands according to how much your own hair can handle.
Can I use a straightener and curling iron?
Yes, but avoid direct heat on the attachment itself. Use heat protection and keep the tool at least a few centimetres from the attachment point.
What happens if an individual strand comes loose?
It is normal for a few to come loose during the period. Save the strand and bring it with you, and we will reattach it at your next visit.
