Tape-in extensions are wide, thin wefts with an adhesive strip that are attached in pairs around a thin section of your own hair. The bond is flat and lies close to the head.

The fastest of the permanent methods
A full application takes far less time than individual strands, and the bonds are so thin they don't build height. That makes the method a good choice if you have fine hair where thicker bonds would show.
Products decide how long it lasts
What decides how long the tape holds is not the method but the products. Oil, silicone and rich conditioner dissolve the adhesive, and conditioner running over the bond in the shower is enough to halve the hold. Use sulfate-free shampoo, keep conditioner and masks from the mid-lengths down, and avoid dry shampoo directly on the bonds.
At a move-up we remove the old tape with remover, clean the wefts and re-tape them. The same hair can be used several rounds as long as the quality holds.
