Torrt hår? Så bygger du upp fukt igen

Dry hair feels coarse and static and easily loses its shine. Common culprits are washing in water that's too hot, not using conditioner often enough, and environmental factors such as cold, sun and indoor heating that draw moisture out of the hair.

Common mistakes that dry out your hair

  • Skipping conditioner because your hair "already feels greasy" – often it's actually dryness that makes the lengths look lifeless, while the scalp produces more sebum to compensate.
  • Washing in water that's too hot, which opens the cuticle so moisture evaporates more easily.
  • Using too little conditioner or rinsing it out too quickly without letting it work.

A routine to build up moisture

  1. Wash in lukewarm water, not hot.
  2. Conditioner after every wash – ideally leave it on for a while before rinsing.
  3. Avoid washing your hair too often – it can strip the natural oils that otherwise protect against dryness.
  4. Protect your hair from cold and sun when you can, for example with a head covering.

Our Moisture Kit gives your hair back the moisture it has lost, without weighing it down or making it greasy.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my hair feel dry even though I use conditioner?
It may be down to water that's too hot, rinsing out the conditioner too quickly or products that aren't moisturising enough.
Should I wash my hair less often if it's dry?
Often, yes – washing too frequently can strip the natural oils that keep hair moisturised.
Does conditioner make hair greasy if the ends already feel dry?
No, conditioner is mainly applied to the lengths and ends, not the scalp, so it shouldn't make your hair greasy.
How is the Moisture Kit different from the Repair Kit?
The Moisture Kit focuses on rehydrating dry, rough hair. The Repair Kit is aimed more at strengthening hair that's damaged and breaks easily.
Can cold weather make hair drier?
Yes, cold and dry indoor air draw moisture out of the hair – extra moisturising care in winter helps.
